so this is what we are doing.
our isolation started a week to ten days before you guys. I'm no oracle, it just worked out that way. we have had contact with six (I counted) since this started.
We started the grocery delivery too. order on line, two hour later a person brings it to you. Now it takes three days.
I have a buddy in Idaho.
Otis moved semi off grid when he retired. He has a beautiful place overlooking the Payette River. No internet and local TV. he goes to town every month for groceries. Thats the setup. when this started I called him, Otis said, and I quote "This is the backwoods of Idaho, we dont do that here".
He now says all the summer homes on the way to town, that are normally vacant, had two to five cars in the driveways. There are people EVERYWHERE! When he got to the market, the shelves were bare. The truck comes in on wednesday night after closing, by thursday noon they were cleaned out.
He says he will try McCall or Boise if he cannot stock up at the store this week.
he is the only one in my small circle I know in dire straights. I amazoned him a case of progresso soup and three boxes of crackers. who knows when that will get there.
