its foolish to do one and not the other.

you dont have to have the balljoint press but it sure will take an ass load of time off the job. id at least go to autozone and rent one to do the job then return it.

Murrays will let you use it for free. Put it on your card. Return it and they credit your card. Open it up and inspect the pcs. and threaded parts. Idiots tear stuff up. Grease the threads of the screw.

after. slide the axle shaft out. remove the upper and lower balljoint nut. use a bfh or air hammer or pickle fork to seperate he balljoints and knuckle. then take knuckle and sit it on the bench. remove balljoints with a press if you get one then stick it all back together.

Anti-sieze all the threads on any bolt to make it come back apart a lil easier...might be a few years before your back in there, will make it easier next time..
X2 on the autozone press

spicer and moog are respectable brands, I'd let the cost weigh which one I would use..

not any more they charge you the "deposit" then if you do not return it in two days they call you and ask you if you forgot to return it. Then charge you $6.00 when you return it. At lest that is what it is at mine in Shelby now.
