Looking for a recommendation for a shop near Waterford/west Bloomfield that can diagnose and replaced whatever is grinding in the front axle of my F350.

The grinding noise sounds like it is coming out of the front right side and only happens when the truck is in 4wheel drive. I can turn the 4wheel drive off and leave the hubs locked and the noise goes away. So far I have replaced the auto hubs with warn manual hubs and replaced the driver's side wheel bearing and the noise has not been resolved.

I have a feeling it is the pinion bearing but would like shop to diagnose and repair.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cory

Hey Cory,

Sorry for the delay, somehow missed this post. We're a short hike away from you in Warren; but if interested feel free to bring it by anytime Mon-Fri between 8am-noon, or from 1pm-3pm and I can happily have a mechanic take it for a test drive to get us an idea of what's going on from feeling and hearing it. Going from there I can give you an approximate quote, and we can look into scheduling repair.
