Thats a damn good price if it all works out as said. I paid that for my D40 with a lens. May want to check to see if the D60 works with SDHC, not sure if it does, the D40 wont.

If you don't have a live cashback account, you're missing out.. Hell they were giving 30% instant cashback on all ebay purchases for a week in december.. Read as 30% OFF ALL EBAY PURCHASES.

I did all my christmas shopping with live.

I bought this camera, lense and printer, and my total paypal charge was 567.00 I get $100 back from the mail in rebate with the printer, so that is 467. Plus a live cashback of $28.00

In the end, $439.

I used my amazon prime account to get an all aluminum collapsible tripod, three filters and two 8 gig class 6 cards for $64.92 which includes two day shipping. Also got 5% live cashback off that purchase.

Anyways, I'm going to end up with one hell of a setup with a 8x11 color printer all for $500.

Plus I will also receive a $50.00 ritz camera gift cert (part of the package) to where I will use towards a good telephoto lens

yes. I'm a total jew.

Got ya, hell mine might now since i upgraded the firmware, never checked :sonicjay: I should also add that my D40 didn't come with the VR 18-55, but the non-VR version. Dont use it anyways... Would be worth buying to just resell.

After some searching and reading the manual, looks like the D40 will work with SDHC. I was always told it wouldn't work out with anything over 2GB, so i never tried. I have several 2GB cards that work well, and never checked into it. Some people are saying that they've used 8GB SDHC with success.

I stand corrected :thumb:

That's a good price but I believe the D60 really isnt any better than the D40. I could be wrong but I did alot of research on this just a couple weeks ago. After all the info I found it seemed the D40 or stepping up to the D90 would be the way to go but I still ended up with the Olympus E-520.

That's a pretty good deal, I did the 30% off live.com buy-it-now on ebay deal a few months ago to buy a D60 and it came out to close that same price.

The D60 is nice just because it comes with the VR version of the 18-55 lens, the D40 doesn't, other then that there's not much special between the two aside from the megapixels.

I just bought the D60 with the Nikor 18-55 VR and the Nikor 55-200 VR, Epson PhotoR280 8.5x11 printer, Nikon bag, 2 UV filters, 1 polarizing filter, 4 gb SD card, Nikon school, 16 Ritz SLR classes for 2 people, monopod and monopod all for $875

I think I did alright
