I have a 8.25 Chrysler rear end and Dana 30 standard front axle on my 99 XJ. It has 120,000 miles on it right now. Does anyone know what oil/lube to use in both axles and if I need any additives?

Do you have a limited slip in the rear?

80w90. if you have a limited slip you need to add friction modifier to it.

If you do lots of towing you might think about running 75w140 in the rear.

It is a stock 8.25 Chrysler rear end. Should I go synthetic?
If you wheel it and have reason to change the fluid often, no. If you don't wheel it and it is a pavement princess go synthetic. You should be able to call DCX and read them off your VIN and they could tell you if you had a LSD.
