Well we have 5 Nissan 60 Forklift so they weight 9-11K pounds.

We tried 3 Scrap places they refused accept counter weight but it not concrete inside it FULL of IRON CAST.

They offer $160-200 a tons. 4 years ago they offer $400 a ton for those but for normal scrap/ cars it was $325-375 a ton.

5 forklifts is in Redford but we can travel if they pay more $$.

You could have the recycler use their cutting torch to open up the counter weight to see whats inside, but you would get more money if it was pure cast iron to separate it, as clean cast is much more than cast incorporated into other things.

rob the orbital valves and hydraulic cylinders to sell here on the cheap. no weight lost and you'll make more $$ Dan
Sound good idea.

Problem why Boss rid of it. Buy out biggest company that went out of business They didn't do maintain on fleets. They run straight to ground. Forklifts look nice but had no air filter on engine or not chg oil on time. No compression. One running but extremely bad blow out out oil cap.
