Merry Christmas!

I want to thank you for your generous donations to help the children at the Holland City Mission celebrate Christmas! The Christmas party was this past Friday evening and your gifts helped make the dreams of 60 children come true!

It was truly another blessed event and I wish each of you could have been there to enjoy it with us. When Santa arrived, several of the children wanted to pull his beard just to make sure he was real! Thanks to your generosity, every child there received 4 gifts and there were children there ranging in age from new born babies to 15 and 16 year olds. A large bag of gifts were left at the Mission for any children who were not presant also, Santa had his work cut out for him as he tried to work his way around with children clinging to his legs! Several children wanted a hug from Santa at the end, but after one small girl put down her jacket and wrapped her arms around his neck, her mother said "she's never done that to anyone; that's a huge step for her". Another little boy came up to me and said that his cousin told him that Santa is not real and I told him to never let anyone tell him that Santa is not real because there is a little Santa in everyone's heart. And then his cousin walked up and said that he was the one that told him Santa is not real. I asked him if he had ever helped anyone - he said "yes". And I said that means there is a little bit of Santa in his heart too. And that's how Santa is real. Talk about a Christmas gift!!!
A Special Thanks to Throwin Mud/&wife (Nick & Casey) and Poorboy/and Wife (Dan and Krissy) as well as their families for the help control the rugrats.

Here are some photos of our evening so you can share in the joy!

Merry Christmas!

I have to say on behalf of Dan and I both, it was truly an honor to work with such a cool bunch! We really enjoyed being a part of this, and hope to do so for many years to come.
As for Daniel & Marie, I have to admit, they made us quite proud. Dan and I know how much WE enjoy them both, but it was also a new experience for them, and we couldn't have asked for anything more.
Bear & Sue, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this with our kids!
The two of them still haven't stopped talking about it. I think it brightened them up, almost as much as the kids at the shelter.
It was Great, thanks again!!!
