No i didn't swap in a diesel. I have used this for my tow rig and it has done great for me. You sure you are not interested.

actually I thought about it some more. I was really set on a 94-02 Ford 3/4 or 1 ton diesel but I dont really know much about trucks but I think your 1/2 ton ram would be sweet. Do you have any pics? Could you drive it up to Michigan so I could take a look at it? what motor? what trans? what tcase? what gears are in the axles?

oh, and how did it tow? What did you tow? Is it comparable to the old diesels?

It has got the 360 v-8 with the auto trans and i think it is the 241 t-case. Will have to check for you on that. It towed pretty good. I towed around a 76 chevy k5 blazer on 39.5" tsl's. I towed it back to my house from the up of michigan and got around 10.5 mpg towing. I get around 14.5 mpg empty so it doesn't do that bad on gas. I just put a flowmaster muffler on it also. Give me your email and i can get you a pic of it tonight once i get home from work. If you have any other questions let me know.
