Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

Got some work done last night. Boxed in mounts, relocated driver side lower mount on to the housing, and welded up my gussets. Just have to put them on tonight and figure out my shock mounts. Hoping to have the Jeep rolling again tomorrow night.

Driver side lower

Rev 2 of my c gussets fit much better.

This is how I originally had it in the calculator...I just never mounted it half on the housing because I wasn't paying attention when I did it and just butted it up without measuring. This is why I rubbed my tire on the arm turning left and why that side kept hitting my shock mount. Now both my lowers are equal distance from center, the way I originally had it layed out

Well I had a great time at the race this past Saturday. Unfortunately I placed fifth but at least I was able to finish after flopping on my side. Also found out I really need more bump stop than what I currently have but that has always been in the back of my mind.

I got my quick release fire extinguisher mounts back from the laser last week too and it turned out great. You bend it for the diameter roll cage and fire extinguisher you have then weld everything up. Quick release with a single pull pin. If anyone is interested in one let me know, I've already sold one to @Toyfish

No major updates just small stuff. Have a guy coming tomorrow to get my rear bumper and tire carrier so I've been getting started on designing a frame chop rear bumper. Heading to the dunes Wednesday the 20th for work so that's my only real deadline for getting new bump stops/pads.

Well my garage is now wired for 220v for my new welder and plumbed with 150psi from my new air compressor I put in the basement. Got my Jeep back on the road last night, new front bumper is all installed along with the winch. Haven't made a lot of progress with designing my new bumper, I've been pretty damn busy at work.

Also, finally figured out the other day why I was having such issues welding my front truss at work...Someone put a 100% argon bottle on the MIG welder instead of a C25. I swapped bottles out and now it welds like a dream, too bad I didn't realize that when I was working on my axle. Even though the welds aren't the prettiest they have great penetration and no porosity so we'll see how they hold up.

Maybe...I can't decide if I want to destroy my Jeep again or not :sonicjay: either way I will be there to at least watch. The gf wants to race but we'll see if that actually ends up happening. I have a wheeling trip for work the Thursday before which leaves me at the possibility of breaking shit without even racing haha
