Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

Got my truss and gussets back from the laser cutter today. I've very impressed with how well the gussets fit, only going to make a few minor changes to them to try and get as much edge contact as possible for welding purposes but they are definitely use-able as is. I haven't gotten a chance to check the fitment of my truss but I suspect some grinding will be needed as I built it off of a half ton housing and not a 3/4 ton housing.

Also, I picked up a new truck for towing purposes last Thursday from Stephanie's dealership. I love it so far, 3/4 ton 6.7L powerstroke.

Here are a couple pics of the gussets
Flat cuts

Bent up really nice just using a pair of pliers, I think I got the bend relief cuts dialed in pretty well.

On axle

One of the changes I'm going to make is to just knock off that 90 degree corner than hangs down from the gusset. I'll probably just make it a 45 and call it a day. I'm also adding a little width to the top of the gusset and in turn adding a few degrees of bend, this should allow for more weldable contact area based off of how my 1st shot ones fit.

Here's the new truck:

Got my front axle ripped out last night and started grinding on it. Going to start fitting up and hopefully weld my truss and C gussets on tonight. Then depending on my motivation I'll start working on relocating my control arm on the driver side so that I can actually get a good shock mount on and not rip it off from making contact with the lower arm when my suspension cycles.

I also drew up a quick release fire extinguisher mount the other day and sent that out to the laser as well so I should have it in time for the bump and hustle race at Bundy on the 18th.

Finally got my truss on. I tied from my upper on my 3 link all the way over to my driver side coil bucket. Tonight I'm planning on relocating my driver side lower mount over about two inches, boxing in both lower mounts, welding on gussets, modifying my passenger side coil bucket so my Jeep sits level and possible tossing on some shock mounts.

I also picked up a set of flat top knuckles today for $70 but I need to modify them a little bit so those will go on at a later date. Right now I'm just trying to get ready for the race this weekend.

Also, I've been doing a little bit of research into adding one of those neat steering stabilizers that have the hoses coming out of them...
