I give it... first burnout off the trailer before boom.

What radio system did you go with? After riding my bike with a Sena system.... I realllly would like something for the jeep. Didn't know how amazing that stuff was till I drank the Kool-Aid

Almost like you've seen me do that before.....Lol.

I have a full Rugged Radios set up, old stuff from the racecar for the most part. I have one of their bluetooth intercoms, a 60 watt race radio, and associated mounts. I already have a couple of the high end Rugged headsets that Steph wears when running pit comms at the races. Another perk of running all the Rugged stuff is when we pre run at the races, our helmets will plug right in so we don't have to yell back and forth.

Well cage is almost done...My schedule got F'd at work with travel and training so I'm not going to be able to install everything I planned on before Visions...Worst case I'll have the pumper, comms, and the new cage finished. Hopefully we'll have a roof by then too. That being said, if anyone in West Michigan has a 48" x 48" piece of 1/8" aluminum, let me know....Otherwise I'm going to buy a full sheet at Harbor

Ordered a few more comms pieces from Rugged last night as well as a clutch kit from Trinity Racing. Hopefully tonight I'll finish running wires for comms and pumper, figuring out pumper mount, and also finish welding the roll cage once my fiberglass blanket shows up.

I’m also building an ammo can base radio from a spare Motorola radio one of our sponsors gave us. It will have the ability of running off of a 20v Dewalt battery, a cigarette lighter, or a little set of jumper cables directly on any 12v battery. According to my math on a 6ah 20v Dewalt battery on a full charge it’ll last on standby for 33hr 19min, actively receive for 13hr 19min, or transmit for 1hr 3 min. AKA a full 6ah battery will last thru a race in pits no problem.

So far this has worked absolutely amazing. We fire this thing up anytime one of our cars goes out on course and have had great luck with it
