Lol. I've wanted it for a while too, but finally had a need. This was just a single 3/8" anchor holding down log chain I could winch to, and it didn't even bend the anchor. I'm going to switch it to a 3/8" plate with a d ring welded to it and anchored down with two 1/2" anchors. Zero worries

Anchor point is a good idea. There were a few times I could have used that. I've been lucky enough to have a front end loader I could just push it around with.

I have a campsite for June at the Dunes. Maybe I see you there!?

If anyone needs a vehicle for Reject run 2023 let me know. My Jeep is ready to go but just sitting stationary, I'm not going to have the energy after loading the race trailer Friday night to wake up early Saturday. It has a few quirks currently but could be loaded on a trailer and abused for the weekend.

Who is responsible for the repair bill when it breaks???

Well while working on the Jeep this weekend I made the call to scrap it. Too many tears in the frame from link mounts, etc. Working on stripping everything now to put on the shelf. I contacted a buddy we know through racing and I can get the TMR DIY chassis for a hell of a deal, so that's the route I'm going to go. Now I just need to figure out if I'm going to work on that this summer or finally get Steph's Bronco out of storage.

Exactly why I cut my frame up and scrapped it. Started fresh with a new chassis. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Now you can build something better with what you have learned along the way. I'm sure you are a much better fabricator as well then when you first started on that thing. Look forward to the build thread!

Could you just do phase 1 on the bronco? Do enough to make it safe and fun for sand dunes and summer cruising? Or does it really need a lot done to it? Could just simply ask her.... or why not build both side by side!?

Agreed. I was actually working on cutting a few things out to redo them better when I noticed all the tears in the frame. If I'm going to completely remount a drivetrain and suspension, it's going to be on a tube chassis not this Jeep.

Currently her Bronco is just a roller. It was running and driving before the previous owner pulled the drivetrain, so I'm hoping I just have to land the drivetrain, install a fuel system, and it will be mobile. It also needs some steering components too that we managed to damage maneuvering it around the storage barn with the tractor, not a big deal. We'll see though, I'm sure it's going to take much more work than I plan on.

Hell yah man! I went down the same path with my YJ frame... Oh I can just cut the front frame rail off at the firewall andrebuild...oh I can chop the rear and rebuild..... lol. Damn LEGO frame. Those are cool chassis they sell.

They always do, don't they? Sounds like some fun projects you have ahead of you!

Well all my tires sold and my cage / frame sold last night. Getting picked up this weekend so it looks like I've got some work ahead of me if I'm going to completely strip this thing by the weekend. Lol

Currently still for sale are all my beadlocks and my rear coilovers

Price on beadlocks, are they Trempe's old ones? Aka are they still round? Lol

Why are you selling off tires and coilovers? Wouldn't it transfer to a new chassis?
I had 10 37" treps. I'm wanting to go up to 40s and being part of team Mickey I can get new tires cheap enough to not worry about limping along on old ones. The coilovers are 16" x 2.0, I'd like to go to a 14" x 2.5 is the only reason. Yes they'd work, but I'd like larger since I'm redoing stuff

Those TMR chassis look really nice. It'll be fun to follow the build.
Yea, agreed and a huge discount really sweetens the deal. I'll start a new build thread for it. No idea what my timeline is going to be though, I'd like to say I'm going to start on it this summer, but I've been dangerously close to buying a SXS a few times over the last month. If I buy a SXS, it'll for sure delay my buggy build. Lol
