Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

Finally got everything moved from my old house to new. I'm now a resident in Cedar Springs, got a little over 5.5 acres with a 1,750 sqft heated and cooled barn to go with the house.

Sounds like the first project in the barn is going to be a motor swap in my Powerstroke. I found a 139k mile motor for $7k plus tax and core, and I'm probably going to put a No Limit Fabrication turbo on while I'm in there since the 2011-12 Powerstroke's have ceramic bearings in the turbo that are prone to failure.

Vehicle update...Took the RZR for a rip this weekend to verify it still parties; everything was good to go. I still need to hardwire the power cords for my Milwaukee heated vests, both other than that we were comfy. Rajski is picking up my Powerstroke tomorrow I believe to do the motor swap and install all the go fast parts. After our "pregger kegger" this weekend, I have to do a trans in my plow truck.

Biggest RZR projects are installing a bunch of lights and parts I have laying around that just haven't made it onto the list yet. I also need to convert my radio over to VHF from UHF, we're joining Northshore next year and will be operating on their comms. No crazy updates.

I've got a pile of Dirty Life race wheels for sale. Varying conditions, 8x6.5. Black with yellow rock rings, dual valve stems for running liners. You can just plug the second valve stem hole for normal use. They're at the shop right now up in the Soo but I can have down here to Cedar Springs in about a week.

I might also have some used 37" Mickeys for sale.

Anyone have a good insurance agent around West MI? I'm looking to start shopping around. House, garage, barn, trucks, cars, boat, jetskis, RZR, dirt bikes, etc. I'm interested in moving it all. Since moving to my new house this past fall, my insurance has almost doubled. My agent tells me it's because I'm in Kent county now, but I'd like to check that against a few other places.

Does anyone here have special ear buds for racing? I'm looking at getting some for wearing under my helmet, but not sure what will be best. I came across a brand called "Snugs" and I'm actually liking them the best; not just because they're one of the cheapest options, but because you can buy replacement ear buds that snap into the molded ear plugs. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have a lot of different ear protection, I've probably tried literally everything. I'm easily bothered by things in my ears, my wife says I treat my ears like a lot of people treat their feet/shoes.

It's difficult to beat a 3M TEP-300 but then you need a separate adapter to run comms easily. There are plenty of others out there that are native bluetooth but none of them beat a TEP-300 for size and comfort. When frolicking I use them with a pair of dual downlead Comtac VII. They are the best for naturally talking and naturally dealing with outside noise. It's easy to forget you have them in.

If you want to go cheaper, I have a few sets of Walker Silencer BT 2.0 I like. They're kind of bulky and don't do a great job of figuring out what to cut out. The Restrictor BT does a way better job, but I feel like the stereo hearing is a bit off. My beef with Walker stuff is that it is definitely designed for people who already have hearing loss. When I put them on their lowest setting, it's still louder than what I would hear naturally.

I forgot to take any pics, but we had a great weekend with some friends up north. Went to the dunes Friday afternoon, left from there for Rocks n Valleys for Great American Crawl on Saturday, back to SLSD for boating Saturday afternoon, then spent Sunday on the dunes.

I added a Razorback infrared belt temp gage to my RZR a couple weeks ago. Some people think they are a waste of money, but I thought it was awesome to be able to see belt temps in real time and monitor what was going on. I'm ready to change some clutching and see what it does to the temps
