Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

I drive the shit out of it on the streets.....just 4 wheel drive...kind of has a binding issue...for some reason....

I broke front shafts, hubs, u joints. It was limited slip....so that saved me a lot of breakages. I plan to do a lot of wheeling this year. Gonna hook up with Markus and do twisted trails, and badlands.

Bought a house about a month ago so I haven't done much work on my Jeep, just been driving it around. I do have some updates though.

Got my kingping gutted, stripped and prepped for gear install hopefully this weekend. Artec gave me a full truss and ram mount kit for next to nothing so that made me happy. Hoping to get everything installed by the blessing but I have about 7-8 gear installs I have to do by the blessing so I see some late nights in my future...

Also did a full emissions delete on my truck, 5" downpipe back full stainless straight pipe exhaust, and installed a Mini-Maxx. Couldn't beat the prices. I gained about 7mpg highway and 3 city which I didn't not expect at all. I'm excited to see how much better mpg I get towing.

Last week I was hit on the highway and the lady rolled her van, flying out of the moonroof due to not wearing a seatbelt. That was interesting to watch...

I also bought a fifth wheel this week, no pics yet though. It's a 2000 that has been stored in a climate controlled barn its whole life so its in amazing shape, still has factory stickers on the frame rails.

i just bought the solid knuckles for my 60 with the artec keyway, 6 stud arms. Mounting my steering double shear. They gotta weigh at least 10lbs more per knuckle with all the extra webbing on them. I ordered them from Jacob at Off Road Anonymous. hooked me up with a good deal.

I also disagree with the statement about twisted trails being a waste of time. If you haven't been yet, Go. They are undergoing new management that is improving the park and camping areas. Also very open to suggestions. There is new stuff going in before extreme truck as well.

If you want an extra set of knuckles i have mine for sale. I'll make you a killer deal on lol

That would be nice. I'm currently going to run the hi steer arms that came on it until I break something then I'll upgrade from there.

I guess it's personal preference but with my experience I would say it's worth it for Kirk. I'd be willing to give them another shot, I always go watch extreme truck anyways, maybe I'll drag my jeep out if it's finished

I'm good for now, I'll keep you posted.

It's been a long ass time since I posted here...but my jeep has come quite a ways. KP 60 installed, 5.13s, locker, full hydro, beadlocks, Yukon 35spl all the way across with Yukon hard core hubs, and probably much more stuff. I'll try to post some pics later.

Current plans for the rear for winter are fuel cell in place so I can long arm, then I want to stretch about 10" and double triangulate the rear. I also have a couple 14b's that I picked up, if I get around to it I might get one of those in place as well.

Current plans for the front this winter are about a 4" stretch, and triangulate the front. I'm more worried about the back right now so we'll see if this actually happens.

Any questions let me know or if you want pics of something specific

Rip to my 44. Separated 2 ball joints and lost the knuckle.

Installed full hydro in the parking lot at Rausch Creek...that was an experience.

Beadlocks got mounted in the parking lot as well.

Pic of just how bent my old d44 was.

Drummond Island with the crew a few weeks ago. Turtle ridge was a blast like always, best park in MI in my opinion.

Picked up another 14b two days ago that I think I'm going to call mine. 2004 10.5" complete including brakes for $200.

Side note, had a coworker roll his truck and he's offering me the engine and trans. I believe it's an LQ4, hoping to get the VIN later and look it up. What is a fair price for the engine? Trans? Wiring harness? Everything together?

It's a 2002 LQ4. Just got the VIN. When he rolled his truck he broke his neck (C4) so he can't do anything for a while. What would be a decent price for if I had to pull it? I originally offered him $600.

I found a $650 LQ4 on craigslist and thought that was the price range but now that I'm looking I'm seeing it's worth more. We'll see what he says

No go on my co workers roll over. More than I wanted to pay for something I had to pull myself.

I did however get a hold of a buddy at a local salvage yard, and I'm getting a 6.0/4l80/ecm/wiring harnesses already pulled for $800. He's going to let me know when they get their next 4x4 6.0 truck in. Right now they only have 2wd.

I'm also going to pick up a pallet of 99-07 14 bolts and dana 60s when I head down there in the next month or so hopefully.

2wd is better imo.

The 2wd output shaft is splined full length so you can trim it to your desired length.

The 4wd 4L80e has two wheel speed sensors, one in the trans and one in the tcase. If you don't have a good way to get that same reading off a different case, it can play havoc.

The 2wd trans has two sensors, both in the trans. Makes it pretty easy.

Finally starting on my 14b rear. Grizzly and gears showed up for it, working through suspension now. Going to try and mimic Genright's rear cross member, and combine it with this truss. Plus one to who know which vehicle on gl4x4 already has this truss...I don't take credit for drawing the whole truss up.

Also I bought a model 32 bender, and bendtech pro for whenever I find time to work on my own project. I've been spending too much time on other peoples stuff.

I want to say thanks and take credit, but it wasn’t me that designed it. I’m just going to slightly modify the mounting location of the link brackets for my application.

I am however going to design my own backbone truss similar to the Artec one and then tie it into this one.

What brand tube notcher does everyone have? I'm leaning towards possible the JD2 notch master since I can get a discount on all the JD2 stuff, but I would be open to other options as well. I'd also think about getting the GOAT attachment from SWAG so that I could easily notch a bend on the notch master.

Mine is a Woodward Fab, basically a slightly cheaper knockoff of the JD2. Or a lot cheaper if you get a display unit like I did.
