Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

Here's the only pics I have uploaded from the install. If you know what you want pics of let me know and I can go take some or see if I have some on my phone.

Coils and link mounts on

Tracbar mount and shock mounts. For the shock mounts, I just cut out little tabs on the plasma and welded them onto the back of my lower link mount where I had them boxed in.

I made all of my own brackets and tabs for everything because we have a CNC plasma at school. All I had to do was draw up whatever I needed and go up to the lab with my flash drive to cut them out. The only brackets I bought were for my calipers. I'm running 1 ton Chevy JB7 disc brakes on the rear and I'll be running the same brakes on the front when I finally get around to swapping that axle in. Which will hopefully be this weekend.

Side note, I also has to shorten my rear driveshaft about an inch because of how much bigger this axle is. I just cut it, sleeved it, and welded it back together. I forgot to put ATF in it to balance it but it balances fine up to 70mph so I might just leave it. We'll see.

Full float d60 from a 79 f250. I have a few pics... What are you interested in? I don't have a lot but can take more. Right now the sensors aren't hooked up but this winter I'll put tone rings on my rear hubs and wire them up. I have a stick shift not an automatic so the sensors don't affect me driving it.

Thanks man. Yea the trailer is parked to the side of the house. I built all my own brackets at school, we have CNC plasma table and Alro gives you 50% off on steel so I barely have any money into brackets, arms, and steering.

I don't think you'd want by front axle, it won't bolt into an xj, your be better off just running the 44 front since you have to re bracket it either way.

Started making arms today. Should be cutting out my coil buckets and trac bar mount on the plasma tonight then I'll be good to start mocking everything up. I already have my link brackets cut out and ready to go.

Arms and tie rod are both 1.75" .25" wall DOM with 7/8" heims. Should be a lot stronger than my previous 1 tomb steering set up

For my drag link, I'm going to have a heim on the knuckle end and a 1 ton TRE on the pit man arm since that's what I already have up there. My previous steering was 1.25" .25" wall DOM so I just cut a piece of my 1.75" DOM and used it like a sleeve that the tube adapter could slide into then slide onto the drag link.

Also thanks to @Wiseadam14's drunk urge to draw and Stephanie being bored, I have some new hood art on my Jeep

Anyone want a set of JK axles?

Didn't make near the progress I wanted to this week and I'm headed up north this weekend for deer camp... Hopefully ordering more parts on my way up and getting them next week. Biggest thing I need is 3 more heims, most everything else I'll be able to either build or source locally. Only real progress I made was getting my coil buckets on
