I converted my 8.25 to disk brakes about a decade ago, but never hooked up the parking brake. I just recently swapped to a manual trans so I'd like to get the parking brake working now. I have the disk brakes from a Dana 35 on the axle, with new rotors, new parking brake shoes, and new parking brake cables. When I put the new hardware on, (1200 miles ago) I also took the spreader thing that moves the pads apart and greased it real well to make sure it actually worked.

I have the cables adjusted as tight as I can get them, but I can't get the parking brake to actually hold the Jeep on an incline. The handle is very hard to pull, it goes up easily for about 4 clicks, then it takes two hands to go any further, which to me means the cables are tight.

My big question is, are the e-brakes on that axle even capable of holding a Jeep on 35s from rolling? If so, what should I look into for fixing them?
