I have a Dana 60 FF that i want to put in my Cherokee but really dont want to go 8 lug bc of the extra $ that it requires and all of the $ i already have wrapped up in rubber and rims. Also i dont want the extra width 8 lug gives in the front. SOOO what are my options for making the Dana 60 5 lug. It doesnt need to remain full floater i dont really want the spindle conversion because its so damn expensive. Any insight would be great:poke:

Ford big bearing ends and alloy shafts.
14 bolt full float stuff can be made 5 lug
Solid axle, Branik Motorsports, Currie, Spidertrax all make 5 lug full float parts

Any option is gonna cost WAY more than new 8 lug wheels

you could weld 9" big bearing outers to the 60 and run 35 spline flanged axles, disc brakes with the 5 bolt pattern.
i thought about that...im trying to avoid to many custom 1 off parts...the money im going to end up putting into it i think i might as well build up a stout 9"...what can i do to strengthen the 9" housing...it seems pretty light weight and im almost wondering if i bent the tube and thats why im losing my gears. I like to do a little bit of everything with my Jeep so when its at Silver it plays the role of pre-runner/dunebuggy and im NOT nice to it.
