It is pretty common swap for those looking to get rid of the all time 4wd 249. But as long as you get a 242 that is 23 spline you should be good. I think it will bolt right up to the 46rh, which is what your ZJ should have if it is the V8.

EDIT- there is something with the length of the input shaft as well, but I don't remember what.
