If I buy at 2012 to 2015 wrangler Sahara or Rubicon edition. What do I need to
up grade over the factory to make it a hard core wheeler. What are the problems to address before I buy one. Probably put 35" or 37" tires down the road

Lets see what has already gone on my 2013 JKUR on 37's:
CV driveshafts
Tire rod ends
Drag Link joints (Terraflex flip & MOOG @ Pitman arm)
4.88 Gears

Start with a good lift like an AEV dual sport with some Bilsteins
correct steering up front with a drag link flip
Upgrade the gears to at least 4.88

Go for the rubi as you will spend at least 2x upgrading the stock rubi items, axles, lockers, xfer case gearing, etc.

The first upgrade should be Rockstar 20's. The second upgrade should be a custom mount for your white rimmed sun shades.

Hey elburro we meet at the mounds awhile agoand I had a Cherokee on 31's and I followed you around the park man u were fast. anyways I purchased a Sahara abouta year ago and it is trail rated. I don't think the rubicon is needed. I modded mine to 35's on rock star rims and installed a few led light bars, dune flag mount, decals and tree branch savors (wire from windshield to hood latch). The biggest problem I see is you because the JK Jeep is unstoppable. Maybe if you can afford it look into a evap skid other than that you should be really set up nicely :thumb:

Yep. Gonna sell my 2006 TJ (3.5" lift) on 33"s with a front locker, full cage and winch soon. Just asking for info when I pull the trigger on this deal. Need more room for the family
