My brother likes these as well and also likes the diesel. Told him id much rather have one with a tried and true 5.3. The small diesel market doesnt seems to have had good results from any brands who have tried it. I think 15 years ago diesel was a solid choice, but with all the added bs these days, the cost to maintain is just retarded.
$3000-$4000 in additional after treatment components per vehicle for a diesel to meet US EPA standards is what has killed the market. This is over and above the engine cost/upgraded trans to handle it.

If everyone switched to nuclear power, this wouldn't be an issue.
On a side note... I used to be a big proponent of nuclear power and wanted to see more reactors built for clean power in our country.

Well... I fell down a Wikipedia and YouTube rabbit hole the other day regarding nuclear weapons and nuclear reactors... I was appalled at the number of serious accidents with nuclear material over the last 60 years by both civilian and military organizations.

I'm now completely against nuclear power. Great idea and technology but it's the human error component that caused 99% of these disasters (a lot of them no one has even heard about) and it is FAR from safe.
