Finally received my long tube headers and installed them as well as making the crossover tube and I finally bolted the cab back down and started reassembly

Been a minute since I updated this thread so here goes let’s play catch up....

Removed the damaged structure on the front end

Started fitting the 2017 conversion parts.

Dropped the cab back down on the frame so I could start building a structure for the front end

After I had the glass all on I chopper the front frame horns off and started building my front bumper

Here I’m teaching my 6 year old son to weld

I reinforced my lower control arm mounts also

I gave it a bath and got the lights all working

Then I built my rear bumper

Added a skid plate to the front

Then in July I took it on vacation where I ran it in the sand for 10 days with no issues

A few months later we did a couple trips to our cabin and then in September a offroad park opened 15 min from me. I did manage to snap a 34 spline axle shaft doing donuts in my back yard

One of the trails we normally run had a tree fall over it.

I moved my tire rack all the way to the back and added a axe jack and tire iron

The offroad park near me has a short corse track there that is fun to play on for a little while bad pictures quality I know

I built a light bar on the Bridgeport at home

In October I decided it was time to paint my front end.

A week later we went back to the dunes for the last run of the season before they closed

I borrowed my dads truck to tow it to the dunes

I smashed my freshly fenders at the dunes

I trimmed my fenders up and repaired the passengers side

3 weekends ago we went to our cabin for a end of the year ride befor snowmobile season starts. Lol I lead the back of 6 sxs we averaged 55 mph through the woods

That brings the thread current. Plans for the future are to cage it and coyote swap it once I finish the motor. I also plan to add some triple bypass’s I’m currently building a 79 super cab on a 97 chassis 460 with a 5 speed as a new daily/tow rig at the request of my wife lol

Nice updates!! It looks like you have been enjoying the rig!

Start a build thread for the 79 supercab. I (and I'm sure others) want to see how that thing turns out!!

Pulled the truck in the barn Tuesday to get the snow melted off it so I could start tearing it apart to do the motor swap.

Thursday night I removed all the coolers and fender ang grill supports

I let my wife pick the engine color I don’t hate it but it needs more color

Man you have a lot of free time and make the most of it. I wish I could get a quarter done that you do.

My brother in law and a buddy came over this weekend and we pulled the motor trans and transfer case to get the truck ready for the new motor. Should have a video up on our you tube channel soon.

Same here. I dont have much time, so I end up making time. Late nights in the garage when everyone else has gone to bed. I take 30min naps on my lunch break just about every day, that's my saving grace 😁
