I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that the specs say it has a towing capacity of 3,500lbs. I'm looking at buying a camper trailer that has a dry weight of 3,000lbs. So when loaded with gear, I will be close to the capacity of the Jeep. Does anyone have experience towing a JK near capacity? Pro's/Cons?
My travels will be within the State (MI) and usually 200 miles or so.

I likely wouldnt worry about it. Your 2 biggest concerns are going to be braking, and being able to see around the trailer in the mirrors. You may want to pay close attention to tongue weight as well.

I used to tow a 21' four winns liberator on occasion with my wifes old 2008 4 door JK rubicon. It likely had better gearing than your Jeep, but that boat was every bit of 5000 pounds or more.
