Did the 2000 Xj with the 4.0 come from the factory with a hood Liner (engine Bay side)?


We need to have the hood repaired at the dealer ship (limb feel from tree). They replaced the hood with a NOS hood. When we got it back I noticed they missed a few items anyhow I called them out on it, But there claiming that Jeep never installed a hood line on 2000 Xj and that mine never had one on it!

I don't think mine ever had one. I got it from an older lady with 36k on it and it didn't have one then.

For some reason I was going to take pictures of the inside and out and I forgot! I think there was a foam seal along the leading front of the hood the sealed between the hood and the core support.

I think I'll have to call a different jeep dealership nd see if they list any liner / seal for the back side of the hood!

just check the wifes 2000 xj and there is no hood liner

there's a seal at the back of the hook, on the cowl. but as far as i know there was never a liner or a seal at the front of the XJ hoods
