I overheated the trans a couple weeks ago and I am now having problems getting it to shift into 3rd. Sometimes it shifts fine other times not at all. I have found if I shift into neutral for a mil-second and back to drive it will finally shift but this trick doesn't work all the time.

I put some lucas trans additive in it already.

PS anyone know of a good shift kit?

I have a 999/32RH in my 97. I put the deep mopar performance trans pan on it and a transgo shift kit. The kit is complete and works great.
Have you adjusted the bands at all on it? There a re 2 bands and maybe if you are lucky you can adjust them and correct the problem.
