1999 Jeep XJ Limited 254,xxx loving miles
Well maintained on our watch. I believe it was originally from AZ, so it is somewhat more solid than your typical MI XJ.
My daughter drove it for the last 6yrs ....last 4 years back and forth from college (MTU in Houghton, MI)
Has small lift and 30x9.50 General AT2's.
In the last year it has had new starter, PS hose, front brakes (rotors, pads), PS wheel bearing and axle shaft u-joint (greasable), drag link tie rod end at pitman arm, sway bar links and steering stabilizer. I know what you are thinking...WTF death wobble? None. Just preventative maintenance for a kid driving back and forth to college in the UP. DS wheel bearing and U-joint (greaseable), and front brake calipers fairly new in the last few years. Heater core replaced a couple years ago also. Did coolant hoses, belts, plugs, cap, rotor & early on after we bought it. Headliner has been rid of the fabric and goo and painted to match interior. Has a chip in the windshield that has been repaired, but is visible. Rusty rockers, but floors are pretty good. Has 254,000 of dings and character.
