1998 Chevy, 1/2 ton, push button 4x4, 3 inch lift, extended cab, auto trans.....
Great running truck, push button 4x4 works perfect, transmission works great, does NOT burn oil.....
-Maroon color with matching topper.
-350 motor...5.7 liter (198,000 miles)…engine runs perfect.
-Auto transmission…shifts great.
-3 inch body lift
-Push button 4x4
-Bucket seats
-Tan cloth interior
-Power windows/power drivers seat/power lumbar support
-Heat and A/C both work
-AM/FM with C/D player
-After market rims (painted black)
-BF Goodrich tires (LT285/75R16)
-Tinted windows
-Bed liner
-Driver and passenger side air bags
-Sliding rear window
-3rd door
-Towing package
-Window visors
***PROBLEMS***
1.) Some dents and dings....passenger side front fender is dented pretty good.
2.) Front passenger tire goes low....does NOT go flat….I put air in it about once every three weeks.
3.) Outside drivers side door handle cover/surround thing is cracked but works just fine.
4.) Small amount of rust…..Person that owned it before me applied some type of roll-on liner protector (black colored) to the bottom part of the truck and around the top of the box. Could use more of that soon.
6.) Might need front brake work soon?..sometimes there is a noise from the driver or passenger side when brakes are applied when coming to a stop.
7.) MIGHT need a “backlash adjustment” to the rear ring and pinion gear?????? I installed new spider gears/spider gear washers/spider gear pin and bolt…….runs perfect down the road but SOMETIMES when slowing to around 30mph you can here a noise coming from the back….goes away just as fast……Have had no problems with it and was told this will not hurt the truck…..but still…..just trying to be honest.
-Rear end is a 10 bolt, 3.42 gear, 8.6inch ring and pinion.....
-Hate to have to sell it but need to free up the cash.......
