Actually one of Aber's articles mentioned Ecclesiastes. I got to the second verse and decided it didn't really matter.

In the grand scheme of things everything is meaningless and all things will pass away.
I enjoy reading this book. We put so much effort into what we do and our possessions and see those as important.

I kind of feel like Whiterhino.

I am a little more jaded though, I wish someone would follow the money on the studies. Because money HAS infiltrated ethics of researchers, I have seen it first hand in my industry.

Shameless cut and paste.

Quote:
From a June 29, 1989, Associated Press dispatch:

UNITED NATIONS (AP)—A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of “eco-refugees,” threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday.

Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study. . . .

Shifting climate patterns would bring back 1930s Dust Bowl conditions to Canadian and U.S. wheatlands, while the Soviet Union could reap bumper crops if it adapts its agriculture in time, according to a study by UNEP and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.

That is why there is a push to receive government grants. It is for the money. The more dire they make it look the more money they get to continue research.

look hard enough, and you'll find anything you want. wait long enough, and someone will say something that you'll agree with, and that will become you're new gospel.

All the stuff about the earth ending in 10 years, then 12, then 20....has all not happened. So everyone thinks it's all fake, and just people making stuff up. the global temp has risen 1.5 degrees c during the modern age, yet nobody cares because it hasn't caused a big change to anyone yet. million of acres of forests are being cleared, and have been, but no one really cares because there's actually more trees now than there was. So yay, problem solved. Except the tress are growing where they couldn't before due to the earth warming, and that's not even talking about all the other plants an animals that are destroyed in the forest. But none of that matters, because the earth didn end in 2000, 2012, 2016 like it was supposed to.

So it's all fake.

Good point.
Life will go on as we know it. Nothing will happen on a grand scale that will affect us and if it does we can fix it. I hope

I revel in the action of people that are trying to stop the world from changing as it naturally has for billions of years, while denying the ability of humans adapting to the change.

This article from American Thinker seems to think that global cooling is something more to be concerned about and that with the rise of carbon from the industrial age we did not get warmer as they were saying. The sun is the determing factor of our weather. We cant change what the sun will do so,.... carry on with business as usual.

You said it yourself (seems to think). Well that holds about as much weight as a wet paper towel but scientists are wrong

I wouldn't say wrong but misinformed or out right misleading everyone.

I don't know if you remember a few years ago where there were emails leaked about how the scientists were falsifying the numbers to favor the hoax about rising sea water temps and the polar ice caps melting.
