I agree. I am envious of his jeep build and the parts list, fab work, etc that's involved let alone everything else he has his hands in

Thanks. Yeah I'm still married lol. Currently unfawkering the fawkering I did to the car last fall in a hurry to get it on the streets. I wish the presentation of the "fab" was better. I struggle to stay focused on one part of the projects and not getting distracted with other parts of them. I tend to rush through, I need to take more re time.

I am guessing it is a side effect of the scramble you have to do at your job.

That only makes sense if you know what he does for a living.

I'm an auto tech. My pay is 100% commission based on sales/productivity. Faster I get my jobs done, the more jobs I get done in a day so more pay.

Hmmm... Is this common practice in your industry? Is there a base salary? Just curious, I as well as a few buddies are pretty good at working on vehicles, but not professionals like yourself.

So many different pay scales in this industry. 100% dependent on the individual business owner/operator.

Mine is 100% commission with no guarantee (no hrly, no salary, no minimum pay etc). I've had days that I've commissioned $1000 and I have had days I've only commissioned $20. I've had weekly paychecks vary thousands of dollars one week to another. It's pretty stressful

So it's pretty beneficial for me to get jobs done fast (and correct). Our warranty work payscale SUCKS!

Sunday morning coffee update. Seems to be when I do it lol.

Hooked up with Marty @ mo's speed shop on some new metco watts.

Got those installed and a new pivot.

New wheels clear the brakes.

I found this USB port on Amazon that perfectly replaces the socket with no changes to the housing. Just need to adapt the +/- to it.

My exhaust kit came in so I've been reworking that, moving the turbo and routing the downpipe differently.

I gotta get the exhaust done to the trans crossmember along with a handful of other items as I need to pull the 4L80 out to get it freshened up by the end of the month. Local track opens early April weather permitting.

More work underwood.

My old battery Junction box plastic was all broken up. Grabbed a clean one @ the yard. That was not fun swapping all those pins.

Turbo up and down pipes about done. Considering getting them coated by jet hot. Got the new boost referenced fuel pressure regulator installed as well. Still need to figure out what flex fuel sensor to get so I can run e85. Trans needs to come out next.

Yes I have a turbo blanket going on, as well as making a small heat shield.

Gots the transmission out and dropped off to my guy. Figured I should freshen up the 200k junkyard unit for the coming year of abuse.

While that was out I replaced the tattered insulation on the firewall.

Also working on removing unnecessary pigtails and wiring under the hood.

I also sent my turbo pipes out to jet hot for ceramic coating.

You amaze me. Oh, and thanks... My trips to and from work are looking at vehicles going down the road wondering if I could swap an LS into it or not.
