I told joe if i could be of any brain storming help to give me a shout.

If there is any way you could make it to a race or two this year it would help your build immensely too see how others are doing things. if you guys wanted to tag along with us and help pit we always need the help.

I'm sure when we get into the actual build I'll have a lot more questions. Any insight is much appreciated.

What is the closest race you're going too?

Below is the schedule, Coal twp. is up next, Dirty turtle in kentucky is the closest.

Problem is there are very few east coast 4600 cars( like 2) If i was you I would try and hit up Nationals in Reno if you wanted to check out awesome racing and alot of 4600 cars.

or build it to 4500 spec......

I would seriously look into the 7100 BITD class unless you really like rocks.

I was considering trying to make it to nationals even if it is just to watch. Going to any Ultra4 race I think would be a good idea.

We’ve looked into the BITD series too. We would be up against Chad Hall and the GM sponsored ZR2 truck. That could be a good race.

I agree, but my thoughts were more based on trying to grow the reputation of the company. I think you would have more exposure for that customer base in BITD than U4, especially the 4600 class of U4.

Neither U4 or BITD are cheap, so that's a wash in my mind.

Looking into it a little further, looks like we would be in the 7200 class (midsize truck). Some how The Hall Racing ZR2 is in 7300? But I don't see a 7300 class in the rule book.

fairly certain they created the 7300 class just for that sized production truck. I think its really the only truck that fits in that class

That was my interpretation as well. Toyota had one that was a possible entry as well if I recall

What is everyone running for fuel cells and bladders? Factory fuel tank is 20 gallons, should I plan on running 20 gallon fuel cell or bigger?

32 gallons I run the elcheapo jaz that we modified the top. intank pumps are the best choice in my opinion.

dry breaks are awesome but a little pricey and KOH is the only race we fuel at during the race. I switched to drybreak this year and think it was money well spent in terms of safety and speed

You gotta run baffles, and for your first race they will check it in tech inspection.

We ran yellow foam, it was more resistant to crappy California fuel and were too cheap to run no2foam, but the no2foam is morer betterer. I think the yellow foam is for alcohol fuels.
