The Jeep had E's on it for a while. It rode like a lumber wagon. Got C's on it and all is well.

Picked up a pair of waggy axles and a Isuzu rear end with supposed 4.88's for $300 with a set of rims and some rollers.

I'm told they are 4" lift springs for the waggy, but the eye is but off one of the rear leaves if someone is interested before I scrap.

That is a little unsettling? I'm going to pull the covers in the am to check all to see where I'm at

Turns out the matched set is 3.31

And the Isuzu is 4.30.

I'll throw my calcs up, but it shouldn't be too bad because my research last night pushed me to an aw4.

I can't remember if the gm 3.8 is the 60* bell housing or the small block pattern
I assume the 60* and your going to try and find a 2.5 aw4?

Yup andyup, just trying to find the bellhousing though. It needs to go behind a more modern aw4 with the 23 spline output.

Should be prety cool
I assume you will just make the wheelbase as long as necessary?
Are you still planning a d300 just flipped or 231 or 208j or....?

Plans are to flip the d300, I like the gear to gear and save about 4" of length. I also want to maintain a twin stick to increase maneuverability.

I will probably move the rear axle back some for a larger cockpit, but that is all tbd.

Playing around with the 4 link.

I'd really like to keep myself to a maximum of 2 different length links so I can carry a spare of each and some spare rod ends (all will be RH thread).

I will be able to dial in once I get the frame built and the front clip set to give me a rear axle location (going to move to give me enough room in the cockpit that way)

The way it's drawn up right now allows for ease of AS% movement up and down and small changes to the roll axis. I need to brush up on my suspension geometry... good thing I kept that book from college. COG will likely be higher, but I'm hoping for a pretty low belly height.

The numbers all look good, but I'd try and get a little more vertical separation out of the links at both ends

that's what I like to hear. Any rule of thumb to maintain articulation?

I thought these were neat and probably would be easy to fit in a small bodied vehicle with a pair of marine speakers
