Yep. Stock 4 cylinder tj radiator. Like Collin said when I had the mechanical fan I had zero issues. I could beat the crap out of it on a 90 degree day at silver lake and never get above 210. I now have a random electric fan and I do see some over heating now. Part of it is because I'm not running shroud and I'm pretty sure my fan doesn't push enough cfm. At some point soon I will be buying an aluminum radiator with a built in e fan

If it worked well before the elec fan, why stray away from it?

I totally agree. The performance and reliability of a mechanical fan is well worth the 2hp loss you'll never feel.

FWIW, I've been happy with my cheap Summit aluminum radiator. I believe it's built by Northern Radiator. Looks to be identical to the ones Speedway Motors sells.

The mechanical fan limited me to the shitty truck air intake system and the fan rubbed the lower radiator hose. There was no possible effective way for me to reliably and cleanly get the mechanical fan to work. Did it work for the time being? Yes, but I was sick of worrying about rubbing through the radiator hose and I know for a fact I was majorly limiting airflow to the motor

Just curious, you didn't list anything negative about it in your previous post. So was curious.

That's my bad then. For now I am just going to fab a shroud up and call it a day. Come winter time I am seriously considering a budget motor build with a mild cam, 4.8 pistons and so on, when I do that I will order up an aluminum radiator with inlet and outlets on the passenger side

I was able to make it up to the dunes this weekend to see how the new tires worked in the sand. My conclusion was I need more power haha. With the bald 35s I could hammer down anywhere and always be able to bounce off the rev limiter. With the new tires I would hammer down and sometimes even lose power. I played around most of the time in 4 low and 3rd gear and still could go anywhere. Couple times I could start from a dead stop halfway up test dump the clutch and just pull myself all the way up slowly but surely. Any farther down the hill then that I would very quickly gain speed moving up the hill. All in all the tires did great

Here is what sent me home Sunday. Still have no idea how it happened but whatever haha. I did keep wheeling for a little while like this but every time I would go under water my 8.8 would fill up with water and every time I got off camber I would lose fluid. A little bit of a bummer but I still had a great time and this put me home at a more reasonable time

Had a productive night last night and got the first 3 bars of the cage welded in and the axle tube re welded. I also finished up a toolbox to hold fluids and tools. If you look closely at some of my pictures from the badlands you will see tools and quarts of oil in mid air flying out of the bin I was previously using.

Pit trash shootout was awesome today, but I had the worst luck haha. Before leaving I did a once over of everything and everything was good to go. I get to the Bundy parking lot come to find out I lost a u joint cap and the ear was ovaled out. Threw another cap in and got it tack welded in place with a jump pack and some flux core wire haha. I got through the first half of the course pretty quick and everything was feeling solid and then on the hill climb I twisted an outer stub shaft and was unable to finish. I still got to watch all the buggies go so I wasn't too mad. We left fairly early and on my way home I blew a drive shaft so I had to 1 wheel drive it about a half mile back to my house. (Somewhere in here I snapped my Novak cable shifter too) I can't call today a complete loss though the jeep made it to the comp and back home under its own power still, and I had a blast watching the rest of the competition.
