Made it out to Yankee springs last night for some late night wheeling. Managed to bend one of my lower control arms and the shank on my heim. Logged in about 200 miles of road time and I have no complaints whatsoever. I even hit 80 on the highway with now sway, death wobble or vibrations.Click image for larger version

I bent my tie rod at twisted haha, but this is definitely worse. They had all the hill climbs blocked with rocks, which made it that much more fun.

Jeep is back on DD duty for a while cause im letting my brother use my car. Unfortunately he flopped his so he is out a vehicle til his is back on the road. If anyone in the kalamazoo/Holland/grand rapids area has a tj grill laying around he will buy it off you.

Memorial weekend up at the dunes was a blast. This was the first time for me this year and the jeep did great. I could be at a dead stop about 1/3 of the way up test hill and just cruise on up. The lock out I smashed at twisted finally gave in and a brand new spicer joint started clicking, so I parked the jeep an rode my bike most of the weekend.

Next weekend im planning on yankee springs for a while, but other than that I don't have any wheeling trips planned til possibly Drummond over the 4th of July. On a side note, coming back home today I went to pass someone, dropped it in 3rd and before I knew it I was going 90. No shimmy, drove straight as and arrow and no vibes. I was a happy man.

Had a little too much fun Friday night ripping around my buddies field. Ended up bouncing off a tree, bending my fender and rim and snapping the shaft on the steering box. I swapped the spare on for now and this week I will pick up a Durango box and start really searching for a set of tires

New Durango box is in and the jeep will stay nice and cozy in the garage. On my way home though I blew a power steering line so lost all power steering. I was in such a hurry to get the box back in that I forgot to tie the lines up and out of the way. Needless to say the pressure line rubbed a little to hard on one of the pulleys. I'm getting pretty sick of stupid little things like that happening so I'm just going to let the jeep stay put for a while so I can fix all the little things I haven't had time for lately. Really want to get it all taken care of so I can still enjoy the second half of the summer wheeling season and not have anything catostrophic go wrong

Fender bent somewhat back, I have plans to add a gusset between the tube and grill to straighten it the rest of the way

And the rim beat back in to place, still hold 30 psi without leaking!

Last night I got the transfer case pulled only to find out that my nasty leak was coming out of the yoke. I also cleaned up some wiring inside the jeep and got my leaky radiator hose replaced. Next up is wiring in an electric fan and replacing my bent front driveshaft. I am going to take a cherokee front driveshaft and lengthen it to what I need. The whole inside will be sleeved with .188" DOM so hopefully it wont bend again.

E fan is in and working. Now that the mechanical fan is gone I could get rid of the stock intake setup and out the filter and MAF sensor right to the throttle body. I'm a little worried about the belt throwing water on it so I am at least going to get a sock for it

I also finally re painted my corner guards with a gun this time and not a rattle can so hopefully it matches the rest of the body better now.

Helped a buddy build a bumper in the fab lab at school and there was a piece of 6061 tube in the scrap bin that fit inside my drive shaft perfectly so I was able to get that 're tubed and sleeved. Corner guards are back in, and all that's left is to throw the transfer case in and I will be ready for Bundy on Saturday. After that I need to make a steering box skid, oil pan skid and do some cage additions and I will be ready for badlands and the pit trash shootout in August

If I don't have anything going on I might be able to make Bundy on the 25th. It's only about an hour from me so it's pretty easy for me to do a day trip

Sold my dirt bike today so it is time for new tires. I'm going to wait about a week to see if I can come across a used set otherwise I think I am going to order a set of 35" maxxis radial treps, unless someone can convince me to get a set of the 37" stickies

I think the stickies are just so mean looking haha, but in reality there is no way my jeep is built for them. I could see it holding up to a set of radials though. I do a lot of street driving still too which would be nice with radials
