well, tennessee was fun as expected. weather could have been better, the two weeks of rain prior made for a very different experience. again, still fun. just different. we were pretty blessed the first year. lol.

i did get the opportunity to drive my buddies JK on tons. being the same axles and similar wheelbase to what i am looking to do, i jumped at the opportunity. i liked it for the most part, very different than a 100" cherokee wheelbase. also... the automatic was... phenomenal. definitely never want to crawl with a manual again.

thought of a few things and am making some changes to my models. ill be getting some teasers for those here soon.

also picked up a trans for core.

motor plopped on the garage floor, going on a stand later today.

before the engine even made it home the harness got pulled and dropped off with a buddy for thinning out.

also picked up the (working) 4L80.

throw it in and get it running first...

probably throw headers at it then make sure the cooling system is working properly and trans is shifting properly. make sure the body side is functioning properly. put some miles on it and enjoy it for the summer while i get working on the axles. cam and valve springs are not out of the question.

I would at least do the cam before hand. Just because it's out of the truck. That does sound like a damn good plan though.
