Have the plugs been switched to one piece design? Have the timing chains/ phasers ever been replaced?

I have personally changed the plugs, and yes to the updated design

To my knowledge no timing work has been done to it. I bought it at 160k miles. It has no phaser knock or timing issues. No codes, no missfires, etc
