I zipped it down the road yesterday, it has torque for days... not enough horsepower, I'll take care if that later. The ratings I found for it are 245hp/400tq

For now my plan is a very short list.
Door handles, mirrors, roll cage, pull the spacers off the front brakes to get them front tires in 3-4" (was originally a dually chassis), hook up a vacuum line to the trans, maybe some side windows, a bed I hate the one I made on it for a mud truck it was fine not now though, soft coil springs or air bags in the front, then tinker with it when I don't feel like working on the old C60.

For now I'm going to enjoy what it is.

400 lb/ft of torque is decent. What motor is in it?

460/C6 combo. I've already been in contact with a company to remedy the low hp and I'll be bumping up the tq more too.

Still going to keep the 460? I like the idea of a Ford big block. Everyone seems to have bowtie swaps.

After talking it over with my wife we've decided we need a small usable truck. So I've decided that instead of only having the Willy as a toy it will fill that spot also. I'll probably keep it an efi 460 for quite awhile if not forever and not add any more power to it. We made a trip out to Crawsville Indiana to visit Midwest Willys. I picked up an original bed, body panels that mount to the bottom of the bed and a replacement front fender for the drivers side. Mass amounts of body work are now on the list and it will be painted. It will not be to a show quality but to a nice driver quality for now. I did not buy rear fenders while I was there because I would just have to cut them all up to make them work with my future plans for wheels and tires so I'm going to make a set once I get to that point.

I sand blasted the small parts and have them in primer now. I sanded the bed down and put 4 coats of cheap spray on bed liner that I doubt will last on it.

I had to swap my fans around and have them as pullers instead of pushers, made a new fan shroud that I need to wrap up.

Before the new bed goes on I'll be making some changes to some of the lines. Like hard mount the fuel lines, radiator pipes, fix a leaking brake line, trans cooler lines. The new bed is substantially longer and wider so I will be adding steel to the back of the chassis and installing a 2" receiver so I can pull a trailer when I need to. I haven't completly decided if I want to install a gooseneck in the bed or not yet. The fuel cell, pump and filter will be going under the bed. I haven't decided where I'm going to put the battery yet but it will also be out of the bed. The radiator is the only thing that I plan on keeping in the bed because I don't have any room for it anywhere else and I can't make room for it.

Once all this is done future plans are to make an exhaust for it to get the sound and exhaust out from underneath of the truck. And possibly involve another D60 front axle, an OD trans and higher gears. The 4:10 gears currently in it have it screaming.

I could really use a barn... I have all the parts for my 1969 C60 taking up tons of room (tires mostly) and some parts for my wife's mud truck in there too. I threw in a picture of the other trucks just because.

It a mom and pop place with mass amounts of parts for everything. They have everything stored and labeled in a barn out back. Great people too and both very knowledgeable.
