Looks great, I'm hoping to do a LQ4 swap in mine this winter.

Yup, looks good.
Yup, bell housing is the same, but the LQ4 doesn't have as many bolt holes up at the top.

ummmmm day one of wheeling in South Dakota I hear something grinding on my flywheel. Turned out to be a broken boss off my bell housing had fallen onto the inspection cover. Worse than that, 3 were broken and only one bolt was holding my trans to my engine. Since my mom was scheduled for surgery and we had more extreme wheeling ahead of us, we loaded up and headed home after only one day.

I'm glad everything is working out for you, Scoots. The body style of your truck is my favorite of all the chebys. Also, I want your Sonic.

Will that rear end hold up to that much power?

Frown upside down: I have a 6.0L LQ4 waiting to go in and research tells me that a new tremec TKO600 will bolt in place of my T5 - and - that the LQ4 will bolt up to my SBC bellhousing. I just need a $50 flywheel and new 12" clutch & pressure plate.

I think I'll put the 350 into the 64 and try to sell it to offset the cost of the new engine / transmission.

Yeah, so the LQ4 is capable of 500hp with a cam swap.
Tell me more. Is the "64" another pickup?

I love my TKO600. I would opt for the .82 over the .6 if I had to do it over again.

3.9 with a 27.5" tire (295/45-17). Ideally, I should have run 3.5-3.7 with the .82 od. My downshift from 5th to 4th is a large enough jump that I better mean it, and the secondaries better be open.
