So I went and did something I never thought I'd do, I bought a Jeep.

Found a 04 LJ at daveys jeeps in Ohio. Of course it's a salvage title, but that doesn't bother me. Had front end damage. Grille, fenders, hood, radiator. Other then that it is pretty clean and interior is spotless. Higher miles at 200k, but runs out good.

I decided on a Jeep because I wanted the convertible type rig that was 4x4. And an eb in similar condition would be three times the cost. Not a lot of other options. I felt I was putting to many miles dd'ing my f350 so I would pick something up for spring/summer/fall.

I wanted to get their blank sliders and add my own tube work, but they were back ordered. So I decided to get these. I like how much they cover under the tub. I'm gonna get some nutzerts and secure them to the under body more then they are now just sliding into the body mounts.

I may also build a bracket that attacks to the seat bolts at the floor tieing the sides to the floor tub similar to what jcr does.

Wife drove it up to the club comp for the day. She drove it around the park for a bit and seemed to enjoy it. She ran a few trails, including the bump and hustle course. She took her time running it and finished without issue (5:00 minute or so lap). Then she drove it home Saturday night.

I went today and picked up an 05 Chevy pickup for the engine/transmission donation.

Rust free, like really rust free. Drivers rocker has some damage, and passenger b pillar, windshield bad. Other wise it's in real nice shape. It's going gone Wednesday. It has a green title. If you send me your number I can text pics. Only thing left I need to remove is fuel tank, and rear axle.
