Mine have lasted all summer with lots of abuse. They seem to be in good shape still, but I will replace them probably next spring I'd into have issues with them before.

Mine have a year of abuse on them....apparently they were stronger than the stock shaft so i guess we will see. I am not really that crazy behind the wheel so hopefully i will be fine.
I also forgot to mention that the long side stock inner was also visibly twisted....not much but it was there....it didn't have many runs left i don't believe. |

I ran my stock 60 joints (literally the ones from 1978) for about 4 years before I upgraded to Super Joints. They were still good but showing signs of movement. Unless you drive it really hard you should be OK.

Good to hear.
I think they will get me by for a few runs till i can get super joints with no issue. Then again, i really didn't think i would break a stock inner with a <100hp 4 cylinder so what do i know. |

Put full circle clips in and ur good. I've been running Spicers for 5 years now, I've had caps back out even with my full circle clips. Broke 2 sets of inners with these Spicers never had an issue with joints.

I did....full circle clips all around
![]() I would think, at this point, the stock Toyota u joints in the drive shafts would be the next weakest link. Time will tell i suppose |

Should be starting the motor swap in the couple weeks. I have to admit, this intimidates me...a lot. It all works so well right now and is reliable to a fault....the thought of ripping the entire drive train out and starting over scares me....trying to get it all to fit and work as well as it does now is not going to be easy and i am nervous that i will end up with a temperamental setup that i constantly have to mess with instead of the dam near bomb proof setup i have now where you just beat on it, put it in the garage and ignore it till next time

I am banging my head against a wall trying to decide on a fuel system. I want a in tank pump, i would like parts that are common and off the shelf if possible....i kinda have it down to 3 options....keep in mind i am running ls6 injectors and rails so i need no return off the motor
1. Buy this http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...prod/prd84.htm Put it in a fuel cell, plumb it and be done. This is the cheapest option but the parts are not off the shelf and i still have to externally regulate it and plumb a return from the regulator to the tank 2. Put a factory F body pump in the cell....this would be an easy conversion, the parts are available at any auto parts store, the pump is internally regulated so i only have to plumb one line from the tank to the motor and its done...simple, easy, reliable.....this is where i am leaning....it's more money than option one but less than 3 3. Buy this http://www.fueltankparts.com/15-gall...-w-sender.html Way more money than i want to spend but it's also really nice....i still would need to externally regulate it and plumb a return from that point back to the tank Thoughts? Anything options i missed? |
