Trump's great accomplishment was not screwing that up. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-...mployment-rate

Yes, the dollar was week when Obama took office. By the time he left office it had risen to levels not seen since 2003. It has fallen under Trump and he wants to go lower to help with the trade imbalance. https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/TVC-DXY/

Yes, the number of people on public assistance was high. That's what happens during a recession. Those numbers peaked in 2013 and have been steadily declining since. https://fns-prod.azureedge.net/sites...NAPsummary.pdf
I could post links to sites that show a different side to your delemia. Those would be conservatives sites. Which I would tend to believe more than liberal media. We have seen how unfairly the media has been to Trump and it shows by the amount of negative stories about him. Not so much about Obama, everything about him was rosey. Nothing wrong with the way he acted or the decisions he made not matter how negatively it affected Americans.
You tend to only see things from a liberal mindset and that is being kinda closed minded. I have relatives that used to be life long liberals but after what has been happening with the party they have left.#walkaway

Here are some of the same charts straight from the government. No media involved.

According to those numbers things have gotten worse since Trump has gotten into office.
Now I can see why you think like you do. Try looking at the dow jones, s&p 500 and Nasdaq.
For some reason the markets are exploding like the economy. This has to be an extention of the Obama policies taking effect. Liberal version of trickle down economics?

So that's it then, your basis for declaring the economy under Obama a mess is that the markets didn't go up as fast as you think it should have after a recession. No facts, just opinions.

I formed my opinion after you presented the facts. It's a lot harder to go from 60 to 100, than it is 0 to 60.

Historically it has shown us that the deeper the recession the greater the recovery and the smaller the recession the weaker the recovery.
With the recession of 2008 which they claim was real bad the recovery should have rebounded tremendously which it did not. It chugged along at a slow pace almost no recovery at all.
Trump shows up 8 years later, changes a few policies and bam, the economy got a swift kick in the pants and everything took off. Setting records that Obama should have accomplished. But he wasn't interested in helping the American people he was more interested in helping himself and the other cronies and are beginning to see that now with the pay to play and quid pro quo coming out from the left.

An article I found interesting...

And before you say it, yes, I'll give you that the claim of "no scandals" if questionable at best.

Yes, I made good money by dumping as much as I could into my 401K during Obama's sluggish economy. I'll give you that for a positive.
