I think his confirmation will lead to the largest turnout of women, especially left leaning women, in history. Democratic control of the Senate, and maybe the House a well, will be virtually assured.

Larger than the last presidential election? Granted, there's no electoral college involved to muddy the water with the popular vote/electoral vote argument, but I would think those numbers would have set the highwater mark for turnout.

i completely disagree. A small amount will protest and bitch, but most don't care about this government shit show, and by election time will be saying Kavanaugh who? I just have a feeling.... The way this whole presidency has been with the left and the right going at each other, the real news, fake news, whatever you want to call it, making this up, reporting that, I just don't see it. People are tired of this 3 ring circus. I find myself changing the channel anymore because I just am sick of hearing this shit...

I donít disagree. However if you have plans to one day be a supreme court judge, donít be an ass clown when your 18. It might cost you your dream.

Because most 18 year olds are capable of making those sort of long term plans. I remember when I was 18, and long term was, next week.

Were you and Brett buddys?

I think this sums it up. RE your "deny, deny, deny" comment, I looked at it this way. I think he knows that they will be relentless. The more he tries to reason with anyone, the longer it will drag out. Sorta like Russian collusion.

Don't put your opinion on 30 second snippets you see on TV.

Shady? WTF! How many of you partied HARD in school and went on to be successful people, a good father, a good person in your community, church etc? Would you be indignant if you were accused of attempted rape when you believe you are innocent? I would hope so.

Look at the woman accusing him of a gang rape. She says she thinks he was at the party. (cannot say he was in the room) Then she accuses him of spiking the punch because she saw him standing near the punch bowl. (cannot say she saw him dump anything in the bowl) REALLY????????????? You want to destroy a man's career and reputation based on that? What if that was you? Would you be pissed? Would you be pissed that your parents, friends, wives of friends, relatives and mostly your kids are seeing this?

I would.
Would that make me so mad that I stammered, started to struggle forming sentences, make me pause, restate things etc? Put yourself in those shoes and then tell me you would be any different.
That's exactly what i'm saying. Because he stammered, restated things, struggled to form sentences.....people cry he's guility and can't think up a lie.

Ford has answers, or at least words to fill a space. She's not actually saying anything, she's essentially filibustering, but because she can say words, and has an answer, she's gotta be telling the truth.

That is what this country boils down to. It doesn't matter what's actually said, or what's actually being done. As long as SOMETHING is being said, and SOMETHING is being done, then the masses are happy and think something is being accomplished. It's a fawking sad, sad, joke.

For example. How many of you have read about Michigan reinstituting the work for food assistance law? That is the biggest joke of all. Waste of time, money, and probably spent more money on passing the law than it is going to "save"

And how did your aspirations of being on the supreme court work out? Im not saying he wasnít an average 17 year old. But then again maybe we should hold those who want to be judges, especially on the mother fucking supreme court, to a higher level.

Did he know he wanted to be a judge at 17? Come on now, sometimes people need to be reasonable.

So, what you're saying is, that you have to want to be on the supreme court, or at least a high level of government, from the ripe old age, of 17?, 13?, 8? Were you a perfect angel of a teenager? Oh, it doesn't matter because you don't have aspirations of being in a higher level of government? That seems like a really ridiculous expectation to have.

I could care less what the guy did when he was a teenager, barring some henous act, like rape, or murder, or arson...etc. The guy doesn't have to be a saint, but to hold drinking beer and going to parties when he was 18, against him, is just, wtf.

If those kinds of behaviors were in his mid 30s, ok then that is a different story. Then that's more likely he never changed, never grew out of bad habits, never learned from mistakes and turned his life around. It is a big difference, kids are kids, for some things. Doing stupid stuff is how you learn.

Frankly, i'd rather have someone on the "mother fucking supreme court" that has done some shit, and been through some shit, because that person will have an actual real world experience on which to base their decisions. Will be able to actually more closely identify with the people that their decisions affect. How many times have you bitched about some pencil pusher making policies that don't work or don't make sense, because they're not the ones on the ground, working? It's the exact same thing.

I'm not saying the guy is perfect for the job, or in his ring/corner/whatever. But it baffles the mind with what your expectations seem to be.

The findings from the FBI investigation are supposed to be released to the senate today which are not to be released to the public for privacy reasons. I'm sure that some will be leaked to the press. The little I have read is that the testimony of Ford is falling apart. And that the people she named to know of the party claim it never happened.
I don't if most of the people know that this is the 7th time Kavanaugh has been investigated by the FBI. And these new findings just might turn up nothing they didn't already know about him but new things about the ones accusing Brett.
Just wondering if these women making these accusations will be charged if and when they are found to be false accusations?

I'm wondering if somebody will push for her to be investigated further. She lied under oath to the judicial committee that she had no prior history with a lie detector. Now it comes out that she coached someone being the subject of a lie detector. What else did she lie about?
