Still no power. Have an estimate of 1130 tonight. But who knows. Day 5 for me.

Everybody has an estimate of 1130 tonight, looking at the rate they are restoring power, I think Tuesday for me.

I bought a generator, and have not lost power long enough to use it since.

This is why I was able to use a generator. My grandpa got really particular in his later years, well in retrospect it was to hide my grandmothers dementia. He had to have a generator and would never think of staying at one of his kids house. I think he used it twice. My aunt has used the generator a few times, but for the last 10 years it's basically been sitting in my parents garage.

i got my power restored, so I'm good for now.

They are cheap insurance. I run my gas out every time, and change the oil every fall.

In three years I have used it a couple times. That one time the power is off over a few hours it pays for itself just in frustration (and I have a sump pump) and a few days without it saves the freezer full of food. My friends have put far more hours on it than I have.

I have a 4000 watt and a 1200 watt generator, I've used the 1200 watt more than the 4000, mostly camping. Since I got the HF solar panels, I've used them instead of the generator. All I need power for is a few lights and keeping the cell phones charged.

Talked to my sister in Ypsi last night, they've been without power since Wednesday. What takes so long? I'd think a big area like that with so many people that'd be a priority, but I also don't work for a power company

Hmmmm. Largest weather related power outage in history and everyone thinks it's rediculous that it's not all restored yet? I don't think the repair crews are going home yet.

Pretty sure the outage last year around memorial day was just as big, if not bigger
