Anybody know a reliable arsonist?

It would be so bad but the truck is in the shop.
Some guy was driving on the shoulder, passing on the right, during my right turn.

And the “probably only person I can count on in a bind” is in a bind.

The house is good. It’s not the best move, it’s my only move.
I had a plan. The plan was good in every way. But just isn’t working. New plan is more better.

While driving between homes and she blurts out “I want to get a “killing machine”. And I want a good one”. She is non-gun so I’m aghast, but glad to hear she is coming around.
“Tilling machine” she wants a rototiller.

Fuck it. I’m taking the day off.

SNAFU
When I bought the place I said “this is the time to do this, my fleet is running, mobile and no repairs needed”. That ship has sailed, starting with the starter that decided to rear its ugly head at a fuel stop. I managed to pull a miraculous “one more start PLEASE” divine intervention, with some help from the fine people at Scott’s on M46.

I found my ride. I paid her $300. But holy mother of god I will never ride with her again. After about an hour I couldn’t take it any more and had to remark about safe following distances. She would have one car length at 80 mph. It isn’t that she is a bad driver, she just has a lot more faith in her brakes than I do. Tested the limits of my medications.
Oh hell, she will never read this, she is a horrible driver. An accident looking for a place to happen. A tailgating, stop sign running, passing on the right, never use turn signal sonofabitch. All y’all Michigan drivers are.

I should have drywalled the shop BEFORE moving in. It takes me two days to do a four hour job and I was focused on moving. Now GermanGurl is getting burned out. It’s like her short term memory loss is selective. It’s like she only remembers what she wants to remember, and how she wants to remember it. I explained that we could do it slow and easy and have fun at it. All I get now is “that’s what you said about moving, call a contractor”.

The good: I improve her attitude with two hour beach breaks.

Projects with my wife don't work. It's 90% my fault, but I can't help it. I'm OCD and an impatient teacher. My wife has zero attention to detail and isn't a very quick learner(probably why she married me). On the rare occasion we start something together, it's usually just me getting mad at her for not being good at something she just learned, then her being mad at me for being mad at her, then me telling her to just go away and let me do it. We have a great relationship and rarely fight, probably because she leaves me alone and watches the kids while I take 10x longer than I should to complete my projects. It works I suppose.

Yup! I can completely relate to all of that. Honestly also have a similar interaction with my kids and trying to do new things with them. I'm learning to be more patient in all those situations.

Same here with my girlfriend. She is an aircraft mechanic so I expect her to have an understanding or basic knowledge of most projects we work on and she never fails to disappoint. I end up getting frustrated because I have to baby her through the whole thing.

My girl cross threads juice bottles. But she tries.
She wants to have a nice, year round shop to do stuff in. She likes our cars, and understands if you are going to drive vintage cars (old junk), you will be turning wrenches. She STILL wants to keep the ZJ, that makes her a glutton for punishment. She wants to do stuff to the house.
After hiring people to do stuff, she found out why I try and do most myself. She is into that.

The grilling tongs and fork are officially “Barbecue Weapons” to her.

She has recovered from her stroke far better than I have from my coma.

I think its just a female thing. My ex wife is/was a mechanical engineer...pretty sure as soon as she steps out of work all those qualities that make her an engineer fly out the window. All the logic, reason, attention to detail, all that goes away.

That's hilarious. BBQ Weapons.

I'm glad to hear that she is doing well.
