Default Rogue one

I saw it tonight, I was curious of others thoughts of it.
I'll try not to spoil it for others.

I enjoyed it. The storyline of how we get to A New Hope is interesting.

I liked K2, he's kind of a dickish C3PO. Vader's scenes were short but holy fukc , it brought you back to Anikin transforming.

Saw it tonight. I didn't think it was bad, would have liked to have seen it go a little deeper and be a 3 hr movie. I guess in the end it doesn't really matter since it's a one and done movie?

K2 is a not depressed Marvin from Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

Some of the character drops are literally that, kinda like the cameo's from stan lee in the Marvel movies...

That's one of my beefs with the franchise, for a 'long time ago in a galaxy far far away' some details are a bit too familiar....

The Rebels that storm the beaches looked a little too special ops at times.

Overall I enjoyed it. Tried to stay away from conversations about it until we saw it so that I had an open mind. Went and saw it on Sunday figuring that the few people not on vacation may be talking about it.

The first 5-10 minutes had me concerned, as the bouncing around between scenes was a bit annoying. Once they had the story rolling I thought it was good.

I agree that Vader was total bad ass. That scene left me wanting more of him.

The fight scenes were pretty good. It was strange seeing storm troopers hitting targets.

Meh, Han's blaster is just a dressed up Mauser C96.
