I thought a long time ago that's exactly what the Mounds was, was a gravel pit. I was out there in the early 199*s before it's what it is now but at that time it was all hills and Ravines totally grown over with trees. Maybe it was used in the 60s or 70s?
No matter the Mounds Mud stinks and Stains the jeep, other than that, Have Fun and hit the carwash on the way out but bring your quarters cause it's usually out by the time I use it.
What Scottie said.
