My personal opinion... I like 1, BUT you have a lot of "texture" or pattern in your wood cabinetry, so I would go with a counter top that is not as busy to offset that. That being said, I would say 2 or 3. (leaning toward 3)

EDIT: What are you going to do with the cabinets? Are you going to stain them, or just throw some clear on them and leave them looking natural?

OK, then option 3 might look good since it's a contrasting color. However, 2 wouldn't look bad either. IMHO, #1 is out.....

I wouldn't choose any of those, but of the options I'd go with 3. The tan/brown splotches on the others look out of place and look like stains to me.

On that note, I agree. I think a black (or very dark) granite with a simple pattern (or no pattern, maybe just some flake) would look best with the color of those cabinets, but that's not what RBB gave us to choose from.

x2/2

I still like #3 out of the choices given, but I would do this with my place if it were.

I would take a cupboard door off and put it up to the granite to make my final choice and maybe even a piece of the floor tile to get the full effect. Love the cabinets!

I think black/dark charcoal would look awesome too. The cabinets and the floor already have a lot of detail.

Another big weekend on the farm time to move the chicken coop to the new house and get some work done on my trails.

picked up a rental for 280 bucks Sat morning

First up relocate the coop to the road

Yep now it is a full on Hillbilly circus

and there she is in her new spot

and now time to play

because everyone needs a "big ass hole" to burn things in

even the neighbor guy wanted in on this action

Just lightly cleaning up some trails

So it has been a few weeks and we are now on our 3rd granite guy
the first guy was a joke Second guy broke the stone when installing and wanted me to pay twice so now we are on to the 3rd guy

progress has been slow as life shit just keeps popping up but the other day I got some more plumbing done now I know I am not a plumber but I have an idea how gravity works

I had to get from here

to here with a house in between

So first things first lets cut some holes in the floors

and up goes the pipe

And then some floor patching

meanwhile Mis has got the sound deadening installed in the bathroom walls and we have about 5 sheets of drywall covering it up already

And some days shit just don't go my way apparently I needed to set the hammer down just a little more gently

That sucks about the window. At least you're making progress.

What granite did you go with?
