I have a Dewalt grinder that is over 20 years old now that I have beat on and just keeps going.
Of course now that I voice it it will probably die on me.

I've been having good luck with Milwaukee Cordless and Festool. Those are pretty much all I buy anymore.

My hobo freight angle grinder is 15 years old and still works great. It also doesn't really get used now since I bought all milwaukee M18 stuff.

Roads are a wreck in Shiawassee County. Layer of ice under the powder snow makes it a bit slippery.

A buddy by me measured 7" last night, probably 8+ by now. Going to be 7 degrees for the low around here tonight.

I just shoveled 8" of snow out of my living room. Mother nature decided it was a bad time to build a house.

BRRRR.
Florida is looking mighty fine about now. I picked a project in Cheasning about an hour and twenty from my place. First I need to pick up 75 gallons of primer. Not really looking forward to this drive.

No shit.
I found out how cold blooded my Cummins is with the block off plates in the grill. Let it idle 20 minutes and it still wasn't up to temp when I drove the 10 minutes to the highway. Good thing I bought it as a tow rig and not a DD. I'm just DD'ing it till I can get the wife some snow tires.

The Manistee “banana belt” has 10” to 12” @ 17°.
My plow tractor is warm, dry and safe in Memphis.

That is one thing I don't miss about my diesel Cruze. I think it was winter of 2015; it was so cold that when the freeway slowed down to idle on the way into work because of an accident I could watch the temperature gauge cooling down.

That blows! How are you enjoying it on "the other" side of the state?

The house and property is better than we hoped for.
I was truly afraid I would spend my last days in Memphis, and pulled the trigger on this a little quickly. If I had known the problems I would have moving, I would not have done it.
Now we are in, we love it.

Here, let me share the view from our window
