I sleeved the frame for the tracker power steering box

Swapped my tires over to some nicer rims

Then notched and plated the frame, and tied in the shackle hanger outriggers.

Frame painted and finish welded

Dropped the motor and trans in, with a new clutch and motor mounts.

Then dropped the body on and trimmed for the rear shock tower, and made sure the front clip would clear the new shock mounts. Everything fit close to perfect.
I like the amount of lift I got from the proper suspension geometry. Sits pretty much perfect now.

Flexes pretty good too, I still had more room to stuff but without the full weight in the rear it would just tripod. Lol

Looks good.

That engine seems so tall. Maybe it's because it's so narrow. And the motor mounts seem so low on the block, like it if had torque it would tear them up quickly.

That is the factory mounting method, it's a tiny (but tall because of the SOHC 16v head) 1.6l and weighs 160lbs fully dressed. I don't think 99hp is gonna break those mounts

you also have to consider that it has a divorced transfer case, so drive line torque in low range isn't going to be tearing on the motor mounts either.

Looking good. There seems to be an optical illusion or a mirror action going on on the skid plate. It looks like there is either a reflection of yourself, or the illusion of a DickButt on the skid! Probably just one of those reflection things, like when someone waxes their car before taking for sale pictures naked, and everybody gets to see their dong.

There is no way I would have welded a dickbutt onto my skid plate, who would do such a thing?

I mounted my fuel pump finally

I also fixed the gaping hole that was left in my floor from my stock tank dipshittery
Took this

And turned it into this

Then I plumbed and fitted the fuel cell, still need to get some sort of straps for it

Then I made a power steering pump bracket out of some 3/16 and the stock tracker bracket. Easy enough.

Also mounted the radiator and found a good spot for the power steering resi

This weekend is going to be all about brakes. I have all new stuff to put on, new hard and soft lines, master cylinder, rebuilt geo tracker 4 door calipers, new wheel cylinders and shoes. It pretty much had no brakes before, so I'm gonna make sure it can stop now that it's going to be on the road.

I skipped over some stuff.

I cut the flange off a 1.3 header I had laying around and cut out my own flange. Sounded cool with the header till I put the full exhaust on, now its as quiet as stock. Not a bad thing, but the ford e2000 pump is pretty noisy. Got everything together and drove it around the yard. I love the power steering, no more wrenching on the steering wheel. Put in the driveshafts and new spacers, rebuilt the drums, put the dash back in, painted the windshield frame, and some other small bullshit. Getting close to being done.
