Warn makes a standard and a premium. I broke at least 3 premium hubs.

Offers a drive flange kit. On the buggy, I have rocksolid flanges.

Yukon is rumored to be offering something soon.
ECGS and Rock Solid use stock outers, right?

Stock outer?

Stubs? Yes. The factory stub shaft is 35 spline.

If I recall

Top factory stub from 05+ 60
Middle chromo 35 spline pretty 05
Bottom stock 30 spline pretty 05

From the c out the 05+ is big.

Overall 4"s wider from the c out then a 80s kingpin Ford 60 is.

Not 100% sure we're the 2" difference a side is, never took time to figure out. But the wms is close to 72"s. That's why I take 4"s out of the long side to bring it real close the wms of an older 60.

I have a few factory lockouts, and one extra drive flange. I don't plan on buying the warns. Never been impressed with warn lockouts.

I believe production will pick up on aftermarket parts for these axles.

Super stout, dirt cheap, plentiful.

I've bought 3 complete minus calipers and rotors in the last 6 months and haven't paid over 225 for one yet. And that includes the core charges I've paid on each one.

From where? I have no need for one at this point but it could certainly come in handy at a later date.

Agreed, We paid $200, cut the knuckles off, and sold the center chunk for $75.

I've read through most of the pirate4x4 thread, and followed a link to a guy that had his own slugs made, and had someone cut the old style 35 spline shaft to work with his setup so he could get chromo shafts. Trying to figure out if it's worth calling in favors to go that route, or just buy some slugs and wait for someone to come out with chromo outers.

It looks like the inner bearing can be swapped out on the unit bearings, so we could try and find something that would run on the 1.5" 35-spline chromo instead of the stock setup.

Can't decide how to make the mount for the sway bar. It needs to sit 3.5" above the frame to clear the links.

run tube across, simple bracket welded to bottom of bracket to side of frame to space it up.

something like this:

I have a tube, just haven't decided how to mount it. Image doesn't show.

I was leaning towards mounting it off a triangle shaped boxed piece of channel directly off the top of the frame vs side of the frame.

Mine has the cross tube mounted with a couple of short tubes coming off the top of the frame. Simple and effective. I ended up not running a rear seat bar but the mount is still there.

Nope, didn't work.

So with all the other bling parts going on this why are you sticking with coils rather than coilovers or something? Not knocking it, just curious.

I ask myself that all the time.

Mostly its $ right now. With a trip to utah and Colorado on the horizon, and needing to get it done by then. As it sits most likely the buggy and jeep are gonna be sharing a pair of struts this summer. Itll work and function with the coils in the back. I chose those shock mounts for the reason if I decide down the road to change it up, I wont have to change that.

I am hoping to have it drivable by april 30th. I may be sporting 3.73s and welded carriers at that time. Hoping to have the 5.38s and arb/zips in it by june.

This is my down time of year at work, so just doing what I can as the extra $ is there to do it.
