What skid you have on there now?

Do you know if the LJ skid Is the same as a TJ skid? Is your stock one in good shape?

Lj and tj skids are the same.
Also early and late ones interchange.
Later skids are a little tougher.

The savvy skid Is real nice.
I got one for my lj also.

Savvy is a nice piece. Got the tank back in. But haven't hooked anything up yet.

Ordered some poison spyder rear armor. Daddy long legs armor for a 4" stretch.

Also placed an order for the front steering. Thanks @Fab One

Still plenty of indecision.

Can't decide on suspension front or rear.....coil-air shock-coilover-strut

And what to use on my link ends,..... Hiems, bushings-johnnyjoints etc etc.

Coilovers are harder to package than air shocks but give you better tuning capabilities. Air shocks are cheaper. If you want to go fast, coilovers are the way to go. Air shocks are cheaper. Seems like any well set up rig crawls about the same regardless of spring type. Did I mention air shocks are cheaper?

I wouldn't go Heims. I know lots of people have them but I don't like any moving component that can't be greased. If you are on a really tight budget for a trailer queen it's one thing but if you plan to do a lot of highway driving, it's not my choice. I hated my Ballistic joints. I've had no issues with my Johnnyjoints.

I was leaning towards bushings at axle ends, and maybe Johnny joints at chassis side. But I've never been a fan of them. Had them on the bronco, and from day one they would never take grease and became just as noisy as hiems. They do make boots or seals for hiems now, but not sold on the idea.

Leaning towards coils in the rear and a currie sway bar. Still undecided in the front. But Struts aren't out of the question.

I like my JJs, and I have not even tried to grease them yet, I will put it on the list.

I hate squeaky heims.

I have rear coils from my LJ if you want them. I they are +3" BDS springs

Just put a set of ORIs in it and call it done.

I have 3.5" zone coils, same as bds. My goal is to have it the same height as it was before tear down.

My johnny joints don't make any noise and I've never been able to grease them. The ones I've bent I took apart still had grease in them

Not a bad way to go to save some $$$ but you know your options.

A well setup coilover system is great and is what I am trying to accomplish.

Leaning towards front Struts and rear coils w/ rear sway bar.

Well installed the truss. But didn't weld the outside 8" on either side until I determine what I'm doing for suspension. If I decide coils I'll got the ends off for coil buckets.
Also got the rear chassis side 4 link brackets assembled.
