i am in need of a 4.2L AMC 258 crankshaft in good condition. i am willing to drive to get the crank but the price has to be right.

3 different 258 cranks. 4 cwt/12 cwt 64 and 54 mm nose.

Look at the counterweight and get the casting number and post it up. That will ID what you have/need. You`d can swap 64 and 54mm noses but it requires a spacer.

3214723________12 counterweights, 66lb, 64mm nose
3235477________4 counterweights, 46lb, 64mm nose
3727___________4 counterweights, 46lb, 54mm nose

What year is the engine ?

What is the purpose of the vehicle it is going into? If it's a trail vehicle or rock crawler then you want the 12 weight one, if it's a sand/mud runner you want the 4.
